Strange vamps

Last week Hubby decided it was time for me to have a proper vampire education, so he sat me down and we watched 2 classic vamp flicks--The Lost Boys and Interview with the Vampire. (Don't judge me that I had not seen either of these films until 2012. I grew up in a convent...Ok, not really...but close.) Now I have nothing against Kiefer Sutherland or Brad Pitt--both have had admirable acting careers, but as vampires, they really sucked (pun totally intended). Besides the cheesy fangs and the overall horribleness of these vamp stories, honestly, I just couldn't take them seriously b/c they didn't sparkle. At all. Perhaps Stephanie Meyers has tainted an entire legend and ruined a generation of vampire-movie-watchers like me, but in my mind...

...and Hubby rolls his eyes. :)

We also watched Flatliners, to complete my I-can't-believe-you-haven't-seen-this-movie education. Interesting. Breakfast Club is next...

Vamp ad

I would be remiss as a Twilight-loving-human if I did NOT post this ad from the Super Bowl, so here you go. Ok, so it's not Twilight related at all...maybe I just like blogging the word Twilight b/c I'm a dork. Could be. Anyhow...poor little vamps in this ad aren't as cool as the ones in Twilight. I'm glad Stephanie Meyers went a different route from the sunlight legends, aren't you, Lisa? Sparkle is better than *poof* turn to dust! :)
