I've never had this much fun at the grocery store!!! This video is over the top cutesy, BUT the ending makes it worth it. I like the whole new album, especially "All I Do is Dream of You." What's your fave Buble song?

...that Jacob refers to Chris Brown's song "Forever" as the wedding song? and it's his fave song?

...that toasted pumpkin seeds are a good snack? Hubby soaked them in salt water and then roasted them slowly on Sunday, and I like them way more than I thought I would. Yum!

...that a lightsaber is your best defense against a dragon? Just ask Jacob. I got a 30-minute speech on it over dinner the other night. The boy could be an attorney, the way he goes on and on explaining and proving his points. His arguments are usually quite logical, which obviously comes from his mother's side of the genetic code.

...that my new fave actor is Laurence Fox from Masterpiece Mystery's Inspector Lewis series? He has been in several period pieces as well, including Becoming Jane (which surprised me by being fairly good). He has this great, memorable voice, and is up there with Ciaran Hinds for me.

...that the Cranberries are back together for a 2009-10 tour? Dolores O'Riordan has a new album out, and it's so-so.

Two things I never would've put together in the same sentence

 Is this for real? Bob Dylan has a Christmas album coming out? I am still waiting for the 'gotcha'...

Welcome back, Creed!

 Creed's new digital single "Rain" was released today. Listen here to "Rain" and more . This band has had a troubled past, but kudos to them for pulling it together and recording again. I could never decide which album I liked better--Human Clay or My Own Prison. Their music appeals to me b/c it's full of questions. Some people don't like songs that ask questions; they prefer songs to give neat and tidy answers wrapped up in pretty little boxes with big shiny bows on top. Probably b/c it's "safe." But I think songs, like any good art, should make you think, not tell you what to think. Creed does that over and over.

Good song, good vibe, good lyrics

The lead singer of this band, NeedToBreathe, has one of those voices you just don't forget. And they have several great songs. But careful--this one will get stuck in your head! (Harrison is jammin' and bobbin' his head as I type.)

New David Gray CD out

 David Gray's new CD is out this week. He is one of those artists--like Barbra Streisand or Michael Bolton--that you either love or hate. There is no middle ground or kinda-sorta-liking him. I know lots of people who find his voice annoying as can be, but I'm not one of them. I like his unique sound, even though he occasionally mumbles (did you know you can mumble while you sing?). Thru tomorrow only, if you click on the amazon link on his page,  you can download the cd for $3.99. That's dirt cheap! (The deluxe cd has two cd's and is full price.)
